What I Eat in a Day

Helloooo my loves! You guys constantly ask me what a typical day of eating looks like for me so I decided to write a blog post about it for you guys!

My breakfast is AFTER my workout and depending on how hungry I am I will either eat TWO hard boiled eggs or 2-3 scrambled eggs with a side of sliced avocado. If I am REALLY hungry I will add a side of smoked salmon to my scrambled eggs and avo as well. Breakfast is SO important. Your metabolism actually doesn’t start working until you eat so I can’t stress this enough: NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST!

My lunch happens around 1-2pm and I usually keep it pretty healthy. I loveee my quinoa as you guys know so I usually just saute whatever veggie I can find in my fridge with lettuce and then add the quinoa to that veggie mixture. The reason I eat quinoa so much for lunch is because A) quinoa is considered protein AND carb which my body needs for how much intense exercise I do B) its very plain and allows me to get creative because it tastes good with basically anything I add to it C) its healthier than any other carb because of the way the body digests and metastasis it D) its so easy and quick to make! Head to the recipe section of my blog to see my simple quinoa recipe.

Dinner for me happens around 5-6pm (if I am cooking for myself) and I usually cook a piece of fish with at least 2-3 veggies to accompany it. Fish is lean protein and super good for you because it gives you essential oils and nutrients that meat or poultry just don’t give you. My fish recipe is super simple and you can find it in the recipe section of my blog. With the fish I usually make whatever veggies I can find in my fridge. My recent favorite dinner veggies for sides have been broccoli, asparagus, zucchini, spaghetti squash, cauliflower, peppers, eggplant, kale, arugula and mushrooms.

If I eat dinner at my usual early hour then I don’t have a snack, however if I have a dinner plan on the later side I usually have a snack of just simple veggies, almonds OR roasted chickpeas. All good healthy snack options when portioned to be no bigger than the size of your palm.

After dinner if my sweet tooth begins acting up I usually have one piece of dark chocolate that I drink with a hot cup of tea. The best combo!

So that’s basically what I eat in a typical day in a NUTSHELL. Hope this helps all of you get a better idea of how YOU should be eating to feel YOUR best. Remember, what works for me won’t necessarily work for you so keep that in mind when thinking about your typical day of eating.
